A Day of Gelli Printing

Saturday 21 November | 10am–3pm | The Exchange, Stroud

Come and spend a day experimenting with colour, texture and layers through gelli printing.

Gelli printing is a wonderfully playful way to make art. Using a gel plate, paint, stencils and found textures, you’ll build up layers, create unexpected marks and discover just how many different effects you can achieve. Each print is unique, and sometimes the most interesting results happen when things don’t go quite to plan.

I’ll guide you through the process, sharing techniques and ideas to help you develop your own prints. There’s time to experiment, play with different approaches and see where the process takes you.

You don’t need to have tried gelli printing before. Just come ready to get a little messy and see what you can create.

You’ll leave with a collection of original prints, with the opportunity to turn some of your favourites into handmade cards or a larger piece of artwork.
