Course Overview
Join The Art Circle in Stroud, a friendly and supportive creative community where people come together to learn, paint and share ideas. A six-week journey into expressive painting and creative discovery. This course helps you paint with freedom, curiosity and confidence while exploring the visual language of art: shape, colour, tone and texture.
Each week focuses on a new theme and painterly technique that you can explore through your own subject — whether landscape, still life, floral, figure or abstract. You’ll be guided through demonstrations and exercises that encourage experimentation, expression and play, while building a stronger sense of composition, colour and form.
About the teacher:
I’m Louisa, a painter and art tutor based in Stroud. I love helping people of all abilities find their own creative voice. My calm, friendly and encouraging approach makes it easy for students to feel relaxed and confident, while gently exploring new ways to experiment with paint. Sharing my passion for art and seeing students grow and enjoy the process is the most rewarding part of what I do.

No previous experience is needed. Beginners are welcome, and more experienced painters will find opportunities to loosen up and rediscover their creative spark.
All materials are provided, so you can simply turn up, enjoy the process and immerse yourself in painting.
