🌿 What to Expect:
🎨 Step by Step
10:00am – Meet & Greet
We’ll gather in Stroud, then travel together (or follow by car) to a scenic Cotswolds location nearby. I’ll provide a brief intro to the day, what to look for in the landscape, and how to begin with confidence.
10:30am – En Plein Air Session
Set up and begin sketching or painting outside — capturing light, shape, and atmosphere. I’ll offer one-on-one guidance, short demos, and tips for working quickly and loosely in nature.
Don’t worry if you’re new — this part is about observation, experimentation, and enjoying the landscape.
12:00pm – Pack up & go for lunch at The Felt Cafe.
We’ll finish our outdoor session and make our way back to the studio space at Pegasus Art-in Thrupp
1:00pm – in the studio
Back in the studio, we’ll review what you’ve created outside and explore how to refine it into a more polished final piece. This might involve:
Cropping or simplifying your composition, Layering with different media, colour mixing techniques, working on a final canvas or paper
3:30pm – Tea & Feedback
We’ll take a short break, look at each other’s work (if you’d like), and I’ll offer individual feedback or suggestions for next steps.
4:00–5:00pm – Final Push
The last hour is for focused making, supported by any last demos or prompts. You’ll leave with a finished or nearly-finished artwork — and plenty of inspiration.
